Johanna and Mihir had a traditional Indian ceremony under an arch strung with mini yarn balls (reminiscent of the bride's love of knitting), pom pom garlands and climbing flowers. Small ferns and flower clusters were artfully placed down the aisle by Twigg Botanicals . As always the gorgeous Saris added color and texture to the overall feel of the event. And..how cute was Johanna's flower girl with her beautiful mother in her matching sari?
At the guestbook table family and friends were invited to add to their pages in this chapter of their lives, reminding the guests just how important their roles are in their own personal fairy tale.
Being that Johanna loves to knit...also inspired us to create this colorful escort card cabinet filled with knitting needles and yarn that we gathered of every color and stacked sky high in a vintage wood cabinet. Once guests found their names they prompted to weave their way to their tables.
Brightly colored pink poms and the mix of colored yarns added a soft texture to the decor.
The entire room was filled with whimsical flowers and small touches. Magenta, orange and teal kept this room bright and cheery. The table numbers and other charming paper elements were created by the lovely Cassie at Peanut Press Creative and made to look like little animals from the Grimm's fairy tales. The three little pigs, fox, little pied piper, and wolf, found themselves among the numbers and the enchanting centerpieces made up of birch logs, bright florals, ferns, moss and wild mushrooms.

The menu that sat at each place setting took guests through each course by chapters.
Different colored napkins and flowers made each place setting unique. The flowers rested delicately atop the menus to greet those seated.
Johanna's family loves to make pie together and it is Mihir's favorite treat too so we couldn't help but create a delightful and delicious display of mini pies and cake that were "not too hot", "not too cold" and "just right"! The table was appropriately named "The Bearfoot Contessa" alluding to Mama Bear's kitchen and offered each of the guests a sweet ending following the Indian Cuisine.
We loved the different colored and sized porridge bowls used as planters. They were filled with flowers and moss. Fresh flowers, pretty paper elements, and of course the yummy desserts made this table eye candy that no guest could refuse.
As a funny side note...the cake was so tempting that one of the guests couldn't help themselves and decided to play the role of goldilocks, diving into the back of the wedding cake before the couple had a chance to cut it...leaving the bride and groom each thinking.."someone's been eating my cake". This was a first for us...but we managed to save the cake before it was prematurely devoured.
As the evening came to an end everyone was up on the dance floor shaking and grooving. Johanna and Mihir really had a fun loving group of family and friends who helped bring this chapter to a close. Everywhere you looked there were smiles and cheers. Their love for this couple really showed through with the ending celebration on the dance floor.
