Real Wedding: Ready for Takeoff

It must be a single travelers dream to jump on a plane and discover the stranger next to them is what they have been searching for. K and B's love story had us on cloud nine with them from the beginning. Destined to find each other, these world travelers happened to jump on the same plane and fall in love while soaring into the sunset. Their love for travel showed in the details on their wedding day with the many ways we were able to play with planes, postcards, and luggage.

Based off of our color pallet, which came from our bride's love for watercolor, we knew the Darlington House would be the perfect location for their day. After the ceremony guests were told to "prepare for takeoff" with our escort card greeting banner. Below, little planes delicately hung with vintage postcards which contained the guest's names along with the location (table) to where they were headed, all of which were locations the couple had traveled together.

At each table, banners attached to little planes carried table names like "London" and "Bali" and were placed in the sherbet colored floral centerpieces by Twigg Botanicals. Luggage card place holders hung on the back of each chair created by Brightly Designed. Favor bags sat at each place setting inviting guests to "pack their bags" at the candy station. Guests were also encouraged to indulge in "the skies the limit" dessert table with treats named First Class Vanilla and Cherry Pilot! Who could resist?!

The evening ended with dancing, laughter, and our sweet couple running off to start their greatest adventure of all! We loved planning their wedding with them and are so happy they now get to share this journey together! Thank you Jessica Kettle for another amazingly photographed wedding!
