Blog Love: Elegant Decay #24

Today is such a special treat! If you haven't been following, we are blogging around the world today! Glamour and Grace is the final stop on the Elegant Decay tour. The awesome couple at Valley & Co, Nick and Aleah, designed this amazing photo shoot! Instead of just one blog getting all the goodness, they've planned a fun blog hop to some of the best blogs around!

Here's what the fabulous Aleah and Nick had to say:
We're  Aleah + Nick Valley of Valley & Co. and we're so excited to partner with some of our most favorite blogosphere friends for this Blog Around the World: Elegant Decay post! Today you're invited to a worldwide scavenger hunt on these awesome blogs where you'll find snippets of our Elegant Decay photo shoot, designed to show off the after effects of a celebration: fun! We all spend so long putting together amazing designs and table scapes for our couples, and this shows off the end result {and the most important element}: enjoyment. We hope you enjoy this - thank you to all of our friends for participating and be sure to visit these other fabulous blogs for more photos, ideas, tips, and fun!

I am so in love with this whole idea! Too often we try and make everything so perfect, we forget about the fun! If you've been following along with the other blogs, you've seen the gorgeous Dutch impressionist inspired details and the most perfect fall palate. It really reminds me of this inspiration board I created a while back. I am in love with this beautiful mix of vibrant colors and rich elegant details. Everything is lovely and chic, but has a warmth like a lived in home. It has been used, enjoyed, and is utterly beautiful.

*A Virtual Bridal Shower for Erin of Sparkle and Hay*

Today is such a treat! The ever so fabulous Erin from Sparkle and Hay (a blog that you MUST read!) is getting married this weekend! Kate from Magnolia Rouge along with some other awesome twitter blog friends thought it would be a great idea to throw Erin a little virtual shower! We all pitched in with some of our favorite quotes about love and marriage and Kate designed this gorgeous poster as a little present. I have to say, I am totally in love and inspired by everyone's great quotes! For my quote, I of course had to go to the standard of glamour and grace, Audrey Hepburn. I absolutely adore her quote "The best thing to hold onto in life is each other." So simple and true! Here's to wishing Erin an utterly wonderful day of wedded bliss! I hope your day is as beautiful and inspiring as you are!

Be sure to check out the other lovely ladies to hear what they have to say, and stop by to say Hi to Erin too!

To join in the fun on Twitter, follow #ErinWeds and send Erin some love!

Stay tuned for some awesome Bridal Market fashion fresh off the runways!

I'm back!

After a week away, I am finally back! I had plans for an Etsy find for today, but my interesting flight home had me come in later than expected (by interesting, I mean I'm watching CNN to see if there is anything about it. Yeah, it was pretty crazy). But I do have a giveaway for tomorrow so amazing and stupendous that it will totally make up for today! So definitely come back tomorrow because you will not want to miss it!! I didn't want to leave to all totally hanging so I am giving you some of my favorite links from the wedding world from the past week!

This ceremony decor from Ruffled is so sweet!

Love this adorable background and the bride's dress from Love and Lavender

Too cute fishing for love engagements on Postcards and Pretties

Seriously loving this awesome Beatles inspired wedding on Hi-Fi Weddings!

A Little Blog Love...The Urban Bride

A fabulous new blog just launched into the blogoshere! The Urban Bride is a blog from the masterminds behind Swoon Over It and The Wedding Boutique, created for city brides. This blog is dedicated all you city girls, loading you up with fabulous details and inspiration for your urban wedding! Their whole philosophy is that while we all love those gorgeous garden weddings, we all don't have them.

I love this because that is exactly how I felt planning my wedding. The trend these days is definitely toward the outside and organic feel and it is getting harder to get inspiration for much else. I feel planning an "urban" wedding is more difficult in a sense. We spent the first 6 months of engagement trying to find the perfect space. I wanted something historic and architectural. We finally ended up at St. Pete's Mirror Lake Lyceum, a stunningly preserved art deco hall in the heart of downtown (it is phenomenal and I highly recommend it). So, if you are like me, wanting a fabulous city wedding, then you must check out this blog. They are all about bringing everything city-centered to the "Urban Bride"!
P.S.- They also have a fabulous launch giveaway (the Ultimate City Swag Bag!) you need to check out!

I thought I would add a few shots from my wedding of the Lyceum as well! :)

and I couldn't resist popping in one of my favs of the Mr. and I...

All photos by the amazingly talented Tina Sargeant!
