San Francisco Wedding: Great Explorations

The rolling hills and mist of Berkeley translate into a majestic kind of wedding. For the adventurous Erin and Tyler the romantic Brazil Room was the perfect warm and cozy venue to explore amongst the woods and hovering fog. With a love for travel and the ability to discover their own adventures, created a choose your own adventure inspired wedding.

Curious guests were able to view this duo's travels on our custom made map. They then were encouraged to share their own explorations with flags and pins. This was a great way for Erin and Tyler to bring a piece of their wedding home, where it is now hanging and they can continue to add on.

Guests then discovered their tables named after great explores by unfolding rolled maps addressed with their names by Brightly Designed. Lanterns, copper, and found objects adorned the tables with various autumn blooms designed by Atelier Joya.

Our favorite piece of the evening was the poetry booth we brought in to offer custom written poetry to each guest as a favor. Silvie typed away on her vintage typewriter throughout the evening composing mini masterpieces that were meaningful and original. Our custom backdrop was also a hit where guests could showcase and play with the bride's collection of hats from her many family travels!

We loved traveling outside of our roots in San Diego for this rustic wedding. Thank you Rachel Thurston for capturing all the details of the day so perfectly. Such a pleasure to work with you! To Erin and Tyler, may your adventures always continue!

Like we mentioned last week, we feel so honored to have had this wedding featured in San Francisco Brides Magazine! Always a treat to see our creations come together and bring inspiration to others.

Inspired By: An Intimate Loft Affair

We are putting all of our inspiration together for Mary Beth and Peter's intimate affair and thought we would surprise you with a sneak peak. With a proposal in Paris, there are sure to be Parisian touches as well as a nod to our bride's Southern roots and this couples love for travel.  We are in love with the lighting by Typewriter Boneyard and the industrial romantic feel it will bring to the evening. Cinder block details compliment this couple's modern style while the creamy color scheme with pops of tangerine will help warm up this space. We are counting down the days to August 2 when their closest friends and family come from all over the world to celebrate them. Mary Beth and Peter are are a sophisticated duo and their wedding will be nothing less!

If My Heart Was a House, You'd Be Home.....

Spring has sprung and so has wedding season for us! We had a blast at Jami + Eric's wedding last week and simply can not wait for Alicia + Aaron's soiree this Saturday! As we're gearing up for their wedding and completing all of the final details, we thought we would share a little inspiration behind their day with you!

After getting to know the couple, we learned that they share a love for traveling, the color blue, photography, and the song "Heart was a House" by Owl City. Of course they have a lot of other common interests, but we knew these would translate perfectly into their Leo Carrillo wedding. We played on their favorite song and decided to bring the indoors outside by mixing blue prints, doors, door knobs and keys, into the decor. Oh and a weather vane might make an appearance.... We can't wait to show you a sneak peek of their big day after this weekend!
