We are loving lace and the ever so soft femininity it brings to weddings. Lace can be bold and daring or  a touch of something sweet. It conceals but also reveals. Whether a wedding be a black tie event or have rustic charm, we are seeing it here, there and everywhere. It is a versatile trend that we cannot get enough of!

The mint dress was just worn by some of our bridesmaids in our Dr. Seuss inspired wedding. They all looked stunning. Do you love the soft elements of lace as much as we do?

A hot new trend I've been noticing this year is moss! Just in time for spring, it is the perfect way to add in some earthy tones to your overall look. Happy New Year everyone! I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend! I had an amazing time with my best friend for her wedding (can't wait to share photos when they come!) Brides are being more and more creative when it comes to the bouquet. No more flowers, brides want unique, inexpensive, DIY options. I am a huge fan of the vintage brooch bouquet, but these knobs are too fabulous! How fun and adorable are these vintage drawer pull bouquets?? One of my favorite new detail that has been popping up is books! I am so loving this trend! There are so many way you can incorporate books into your wedding day decor. Using stamps on the edges is a fun and unique way to inform your guests, like at this program table. I also love cutting into the pages for a sweet table number sign! And for the big literary buff, use books as escort cards for your guests. The bride and groom from this wedding hand picked a book for each guest with a bookmark with the table number, creating a personal escort card and favor all in one!

A big trend in weddings right now is the carnival theme. So when Paige + Blake Green sent me these fun engagements, I was totally stoked! Lizzy and Brandon took their awesome engagement shots at the Santa Monica Pier. Full of color, laughter, and cotton candy, I'm pretty sure this is the best engagement theme yet! Then check out those super cute bandanas! They were made by Etsy seller Cyanide Stitches and are such a unique and fun prop to bring along! The amazing photos by Paige + Blake make everything even better!

As far as color trends go, I've been seeing a lot of gradients. It's modern, playful, and totally chic! I love seeing it as a bit of color for the cake and am falling for it as a long centerpiece with the flowers! I've also spotted the ombre look in fabric backgrounds for dessert stations or photo booths. And how fun would it be in a bouquet with the gradient fading from the center?? There are so many uses that will tie your whole look together! Love it!
